Home modifications for occupational therapists – Building a leadership role on the home modification team
“Occupational therapists conduct home assessments and have specialist knowledge of the impact of the physical home environment upon the participation of people in their everyday lives. Qualitative and quantitative results emphasized the importance of external access to the home and internal access to bedroom and bathroom facilities, with remarkable consistency across hospital discharge and aging in place.” (Wellecke et al., 2022)
This online workshop is ideal for occupational therapists, from both private and public sectors, who wish to improve their ability to contribute to a home modification project and collaborate with other members of the home modification team.
